Privacy Policy

Screenwriter Lab ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit screenwritershub.com or use our programs, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

• Information you give us: your name, email address, and anything else you type into a form (for example, when you sign up for the free 7-Day Sprint, apply for the Accelerator, or contact us).
• Payment information: if you purchase a paid offer, payment details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Usage and device data: pages viewed, links clicked, referring URL, approximate location, device type, browser, and IP address, collected through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies described below.

2. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies to run the site, measure how it performs, and improve our advertising. Specifically:

• Meta (Facebook) Pixel: a small script from Meta Platforms, Inc. that loads on our pages and records events such as page views, lead submissions, and applications.
• Meta Conversions API (CAPI): a server-side counterpart to the Pixel. We send Meta the same events from our server (with your email hashed for matching) so we can measure ad performance more accurately.
• Essential cookies: used to remember your cookie choice and to keep the site working.

You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of personalized advertising in your Facebook / Instagram ad preferences. Blocking cookies or the Meta Pixel does not stop you from using the site.

3. How we use your information

• Deliver the free 7-Day Sprint emails and any program you sign up for.
• Provide the service, respond to your questions, and give support.
• Process payments for paid offers.
• Run and measure our advertising on Meta (Facebook / Instagram) and elsewhere.
• Improve the site, our emails, and our programs.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

4. Third-party services we share data with

We share limited personal information with the following service providers, only as needed to run our business. Each has its own privacy policy.

• Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook / Instagram): to run and measure our advertising via the Meta Pixel and Conversions API. Email addresses shared with Meta for matching are hashed before they leave our server.
• Kit (formerly ConvertKit): to send the free 7-Day Sprint emails, program updates, and marketing emails.
• Google: for analytics, form submissions (Google Forms is used for Accelerator applications), and general infrastructure.
• Stripe: to process payments for The Lab membership and The Accelerator.
• Skool: to host the private community and deliver program content to members.

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with the providers above (or when required by law).

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account or subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to run our business, meet legal requirements, and resolve disputes. When you ask us to delete your data, we remove it from our active systems.

6. Your rights and choices

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data. Email us at brandon@screenwritershub.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any email we send you.
• Opt out of ad tracking in your browser settings and in your Facebook / Instagram ad preferences.

7. Children

Screenwriter Lab is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Effective date" above. Material changes will be communicated on this page.
